A Bastard..I'm sorry
Guys, I have a 696 laying around which i hardly use and I Cannot be bothered to sell it due to low-ballers hence I'd rather see it gather dirt: until 10minutes ago. I want a day-to-day rugged bike, a bit taller than the 696, perhaps as tall as my superduke but lighter and with a single side swing-arm.
So here is what I am thinking:
1. Hypermotard SSS
Will this be a straight swap on the 696 frame?
2. Hypermotard Rear Shocks
Will this pair-up with the 696 frame without any modification using a hypermotard SSS?
3. Hypermotard Forks
Will they fit on the 696 triple clamps and if not, will the hyper front forks and triples mount onto the monster frame?
this is all i need for now. I know a few of you might be disappointed because this strays away from the monster tradition but do not be because I have a really hot M1100 built by Bellissimoto I use on my Sunday rides. So, please help if you can. Thanks

The only thing I can say for sure is that an 1100 SSS will fit directly.

true however I do not know if the hyper shock will fill. I just contacted randy from bellissimoto and he's going to get back to me on it. I'll also contact the local dealer in the mean time

The Monster is a bastardized SS anyways. No need to apologize.
As read on Wiki, "Because Bordi wanted Galluzzi to keep costs low, the Monster was a humble "parts bin special," built not with newly designed components carefully engineered to work in unison, but by mixing and matching parts from existing Ducati models, beginning with the engine and forward half of the frame of a 900 Supersport, a frame descended from the 851 superbike, and the fork of a 750 Supersport."

Quick update: decided to try out the multistrada forks instead to give me that extra height.

Ok guys i just bought the wheels of an 848 of ebay for a really good deal. I want about 3 inchs of height increase in the rear, will the hypermotard or multistrada shocks work without modification. I will order the swingarm tomorrow if i can make my mind up as to which will give me the height i want. I was also wondering if the hypermotard swingarm will work on the 696 motor and frame?
