Hello, I'm new to the Forum, and found this thread, but the original question is the opposite to mine. To flip the question, what do people do to their handle bars in order to lower them? I've seen some great member photos where the handle bars seem to be really low, I really like the look, what's your secret to it?

Default rizoma 22mm conversion done tonight

1 beer, 2 hours, easy mod... 3 holes drilled. much much better position.

rizoma 22mm med black bar, billet handles, bar ends. very nice except the throttle is not as smooth, it's missing a guide that the factory has for the guide. otherwise much more comfy.... will do bar end mirrors next... waiting for the clear alternatives integrated light to come in tommorow

How's the 696, still solid? Do you recommend a dealer in SoCal?

Yes the bike is still solid! Unfortunately I purchased it for my wife and she has since decided not to ride, so I am selling it. It has 1300 miles, first service done with no issues. I had the dealer install the Termi exhaust (carbon fiber). Still under factory warranty as it was purchased last year. Selling for $8500!

I installed the DP touring seat recently. While the seat is great, I am sitting a little high now which means I'm also hunched over more towards the handlebars. Found this thread and it seems like my options are
1) ebay bar risers
2) Eastern Cycle bar riser (as of the last post in 2009 they were starting to make them)
3) RIZOMA bars

Do I have any other options? As of now, I like the ebay bar risers because it seems like a simple install and a few members here have tried it. I really don't feel like installing a new bar and drilling location holes for the controls.

Are the ebay risers good quality? What did you end up getting, 1.25" or 1.5"? Does it affect the stock clutch/brake hoses or throttle cables?
