696 Termi Exhaust Gas Smell

Hey, I just had the dealer install a termi exhaust on my 696. The bike runs awesome 99% of the time, but I have a couple of issues:

- I smell gas through the mesh port on the gas tank cover on the right side of the bike

- Very very infrequently, in second gear just after I shift into it, the bike hesitates for a nano-second and then all is fine (also makes a slight noise)

Anyone else have these issues?

Sounds like you are getting a little backfire through the intake. I had the same problem with mine for a while (1000 miles) but it seems fine now.

As far as the gas smell, I don't know what to tell you. Did you spill any gas when you filled it up?

Thanks, I did spill a little. The dealer also mentioned that there are some vent lines from the gas tank in that area.
