Smile Correct 14T Sprocket for 2000-02 M900ie

AFAM does make the correct sprocket. Part number is 52612-14. Just bought one with no drama from Drive Systems USA in Huntington Beach, CA. (I have no interest in that outfit.)

The correct sprocket has the same raised faces on both sides of the sprocket as the stock 15T one, not one flat side like the front sprocket the earlier carburetted M900 used.

Combined that front sprocket with a 41 tooth rear sprocket and stock 98 link chain fits fine.

Hope this info is useful.

Yes, very useful... and timely!

However, I am slightly confused since the sprocket on my '02 900ie has a flat face (outside) and a raised section on the back side. To my knowledge it has never been changed (only 1300 miles on the bike when I bought it, so doubt the previous owner changed).

I don't know if anyone has the answer to this question, but is it possible mine came from the factory with the wrong sprocket?

I have a '01 M900ie and just recently changed to the 14T. The first sprocket I received had the flat side. I installed it thinking it would be OK (didn't see any rubbing or interference, etc.), but it made me nervous. Just in case, I called the supplier and they said that there is a special version that has the sprocket centered (like the original). I don't know if it changed in '02, but I'd just make sure that the chain sits nicely in the plastic track/guide that runs on top the swingarm.

ARRRRGGGGGHHH!!!! I just cross-referenced the part numbers in the Ducati parts diagrams, and the part number for the '02 is different from the '00 & '01! So now I have no idea what to order!
