Default Oil Pressure Light After 15 min

Hello,
I have done a search to no avail. I am hoping one of you wise folks can help. I have a 2003 Monster 400s. My oil level is good. The bike starts up fine, the oil light goes out within seconds after start-up.

But about 15-20 minutes into every ride the oil light illuminates and stays illuminated for the duration of the ride. Is it probable that this is a heat issue? Is the oil pressure switch heat sensitive? Outside air temperatures during rides vary between 30-33 degrees C. I don't live anywhere close to a Ducati dealership so I am hoping to troubleshoot this myself. Thanks for any input.

MM???

You can get a spare non-Ducati sensor for very little money. If you have an Opel/Vauxhall/GM in general dealer in your area then ask for a part with S/N 12 52 573 or alternatively 12 38 696.

Left is original, right is the replica. A little shorter, yes, but it works and is incredibly cheap

They can get moisture in the connection. Unplug it for a while, and try letting it dry out.
