Default Monster 620 DP ECU...

Greetings people,

This is my first thread so ill try to be as less noobish as possible...

I got a 620 monster with termis and dp air filter but not with the DP ECU!

So, i found one (second hand of course)...
If i buy it will it be ok to install it by removing the stock and put DP in its place?

What i have to take care for?

P.S. I don't have the RED key.... (I didn't lost it, previous owners fault...)

Thank you all for your precious knowledge...

Ok.
A few thing here.
A 2nd hand DP ecu will only work on your bike if it has not been coded to the previous bike, once they have been coded, they will only work with that one bike.
Also, when you fit a new ecu, it will need to be set up with DDS (dealer only) or VDSTS your mixture settings & idle speed can only be set electronically using these systems, in addition, you need to get the tps reset.

Springer's right, and by "coding" he means married to the bike it's installed in by using the red key. If only the black key has been used - and people do this so that they can resell their DP ECU - then the DP ECU is completely transferable to another (identical) bike. Good luck!

Thank both of you...
The only problem now is if seller is going to tell me the truth but that's another story...
