2006 DesmoQuattro belts

Ok, I need some clarification. Are the belts due for replacement every 2 years or 6000 miles whichever comes first, or are they due at 6000 miles regardless of time? I believe the manual says every 6000 miles or 12 months; however there is an asterisk that says "Distance Based Only."

OK very easy one. Belts should be done every 2 years or 6000 mile which ever comes first. But if your a some what mechanic 12 months means every on season to be checked. i would chech the belts every on season and end of the season. and when they need them. i do my own service and when you open things up more often there less likely to surprise you if or when things happen. have them done on Service intervals. 6k 12k 18k.
