Just wanted to let y'all know that I received my tcpi4 today from norm. Norm ordered the correct wire harness for direct plug and play.
This shouldn't be anything that can't be figured out with the unit in hand and the instructions, but I'm gonna go through it anyways, just for completeness' sake...

It looks like the wires that have been populated are associated as below:
color pin# Name/description notes
orange 1 IC1/Ignition Coil 1 this wire goes to the 3 pin black connector
yellow 9 CKPS(1)/Input 1 (pick up) this wire goes to the 2 pin black connector
white 10 IC2/Ignition Coil 2 this wire goes to the 3 pin white(clear) connector
red 13 +12V this wire goes to the 3 pin white connector and looks to be the source voltage to power the unit
blue 14 GND/ground 2 wires in this pin, one goes to the 3 pin black connector, other to the 2 pin black connector
blue 16 SENSE GND/gnd for sensors 2 wires in this pin, one goes to the 3 pin white connector, other to the 2 pin white connector
brown 20 CKPS(2)/Input 2 (pick up) this wire goes to the 2 pin white connector
I unfortunately do not have a laptop at the moment to check the settings on the box and I am not going to install the box until I can verify the settings on the box, so I won't be able to add much at the moment. I will not officially start tuning until I've had a chance to clean my carbs out and make sure the carbs are properly tuned and sync'd, but I will start the bike as soon as I can with the box installed.
What I can say though is that there is a sticker on the box that I assume someone at the manufacturer wrote 'Ducati-Kokusan' which is encouraging.
Something to note, the box does require 12V applied to that red wire (and don't forget your grounds) if you want to read or program the box it looks like as I did try to connect the serial port to my computer directly and it did nothing. For safety, I would connect the box directly to the bike (without starting it) and read the unit off with a laptop or really really close computer (and/or with the use of a serial patch cable). WithOUT starting the bike of course until verifying the settings.
Having a usb-serial converter I'm sure will yield the same results as usb only supplies 5V and serial db9 pins do not have a power pin anyways, so the 5v wouldn't actually go anywhere in the box...
I will get my hands on a laptop in the next day or two and see what I can come up with further and I will update accordingly
note that there are MANY more pins that are NOT utilized but could offer plenty of added features if your bike could use them...
this thing is pretty darn cool and I'll be excited when I can actually start the bike and start playing.
