Default S2R1000 Idling problem

Hello, I have an S2r1000 with a carbon Termi pipe, DP mide pipe performance ECU and airfilter and the problem I have was it would start and idle ok then once under way it would either stall, hunt or sit at around 3000 rpm. I read here to unplug the o2 sensor and it should fix it, I did this and it seemed to for a while but now it is just as bad. The bike rides well when accelerating but just does'nt want to idle properly.

Any suggestions, ???

Sync the throttle bodies using a manometer. I had a thread posted recently. Reference it for instructions.

Some more info, the bike has 3000kays, has been doing it from the 1000kay service since I had all the other parts put on it. Definitly not cables or throttle bodies, is something to do with the way the fuel injection is regulating the idle.

AFAIK, if you are using the DP computer you are supposed to unplug the O2 sensor and set a base co of I think 4% at idle. Confirm this info with a good dealer.

After you open the airbox, install the DP ECU and install a full exhaust, you need to remove the 02 sensor and re-tune the bike. If you explain this to the Shop, they should be able to get the tuning specs from DPNA.

From a post I made in Fubruary:

Well, the final conclusion to this question is no...but if you want to read how we got to this conclusion you can follow the threadbelow.

http://www.ducatimonster.org/smf/ind...c,41681.0.html

Read on because the ECU discussion is mostly on page 2. Anyway, the midpipes will have a port (bung) for the O2 sensor, but that should be plugged and the O2 sensor removed at the harness connector. I think you will probably have to retune the bike after you install the midpipes. You Ducati dealership (if they we like mine) may not know how to tune the bike with the new midpipe as ther will probably be some learning curve since the bike and parts are new. Here is the answer from my Ducati dealership.

"Your bike being the first S2R1000 in which we have installed the Termignoni full system, I was unclear during installation that the O-2 Sensor was to be removed, after a short conversation with the rep, he explained that you do indeed remove the O-2 sensor upon installation. So I did...The Ducati Performance ECU eliminates the O-2 sensor circuit therefore causing the ECU to become “confused” with it still in line."
