Throttle bodies you say? I assume that's part of the carburetor.

oops, if you have a carb, I am really not sure. I was speaking FI. Does your bike still have the charcoal emissions canister?

Yes, I put it back on last night. I didn't want to, but I didn't have the stuff needed to reroute the hoses and plug the little holes in the manifolds. I'll figure out how to remove it later once I get the bike running again.

Damn Sruart! - you're stealing my thunder! I knew all those answers! Well, here's one: left coil goes to the front cylinder.

Well I had a minor success. I was able to get the starter to turn over the engine. It must have been the connection to the starter solenoid because that was the only thing I really messed with. *Of course I'm not out of trouble yet. She still won't fire. I've tried switching the spark plug cords back and forth but it's the same both ways. (Norm posted the answer to that question while I was typing this. Thanks Norm.) I can hear the engine turning over but it doesn't sound like it's getting a spark, or maybe it's not getting gas. I can't tell. It's just not firing. I'm working on tracing the fuel lines and making sure they are routed correctly and there are no kinks. Anyone know of a good link to explain how carbs work. To tell you the truth I'm not really sure and the more I look at it the more it just doesn't make sense. Like why does the fuel enter the equation in the manifold, between the carbs and the engine. I always thought the carbs mixed the fuel and the air. Either I just don't understand it or I have it hooked up wrong.

That should say it all right there.

She runs.

She's a little rough but she runs. Didn't even do anything. I just went back down and she started.

I just want to take a moment and say thanks a lot to everyone for all the help. I couldn't have done this on my own.

Tomorrow I work on getting her to run smoothly.
