Just wanted to let everybody know that things are humming along with DOCSF. After a few tries to find a home for the bike night (who knew it would be so difficult!) we have a happy home at Allstars Sports Bar on State Road 84 in Fort Lauderdale, just West of I-95 on the South side of St. Road 84. (by the Rodeway Inn). It's been a bunch of Thursday nights now and the crowd has been about 40 bikes or more, they give is the patio and a big reserved table with the bikes right there so at least until it's too hot and we head inside it's the perfect setup. Any Sunday afternoon there is WSBK or MotoGp on TV we have been meeting there as well, about 20 people - not so many bikes, a lot of people come by car but it's a fun crowd to yell at the TV with.
The Google Group we use for communication is up to 99 members, Ducati in Italy sent all the early members gifts this week (we are an official DOC and they had a promotion I applied for back in Jan) scarfs, pins and stickers celebrating Stoners championship.
Here is the link for the website - the event schedule is there as well:

Next week we have a bike night, a party at Pure Ducati and a WSBK watching party at Allstars so it's a busy week but should allow almost everybody at least one event their schedule allows.
If you aren't signed up yet, it's free. The idea really is just to give everybody a way to know what's going on and to make it easier for something to actually BE going on. No meetings or elections or dues. It's pretty casual, just a way for people to find each other. We really want everybody to feel welcome, it's so hard to meet people with commen interests, so feel free to come to these events and bring your friends. That's the whole idea.
Hope to see some new faces next week. See me for a membership application, you need that in case Ducati starts throwing swag at us again. :-)
