Default S4RS...Stalling Aaacccckkkkkkkkk!!!!!

O.K. one more for the local knowledge base. 07 S4RS full termi kit with ECU etc. Bike exhibits no surging at low rpm's, no backfiring on deceleration, runs fckn great except has a tendency to stall when coming to a stop. PITA as you know...What do you think TPS out of adjustment? Anyone adjusted theirs with just a multimeter or do I need to go to dealer to get plugged in and adjusted?? Thanks in advance. Also where is the TPS located on the bike? I looked around throttle bodies but did not see anything that resembled what I know a TPS looks like from a car.

Matt

I have the full Termi kit installed on my 07 S4Rs. Installed by dealer prior to delivery. Dealer tech set it up with new ECU. He told me that a Ducati rep was on site that day and helped with the setup. 1600 miles on bike. It has never stalled or surged. Starts easily too. Knock on wood!

I'm not sure, but I think your TPS (throttle position sensor) is managed through the ECU. Sounds like the map for the Termi system has the idle speed set too low. Unless you have a tuneboy or power commander, you may need to bring it to a dealer to adjust the map.

Try calling Chris Boy at Moto Corse Performance 954-608-0350. He is very good and can probable help with your problem. He is in Ft. Lauderale and is a good guy.

Thanks talked to Chris last week and he suspects TPS adjustment or CO just off idle. Great guy I need to find a day to ride to Liquerdale so he can fix it up.

Had the same problem and DucatiMiami reset the off throttle idle to -12 on the DDS - runs great now.

A power commander may in fact work, but it's my strong opinion that for the cost of the Termi system - Ducati needs to get the mapping right with the race ECU. Remember you have a two yr warranty on the exhaust system if you bought from & had it installed by an authorized dealer. IMHO, the responsibility is on the dealer & DNA to make the system run right and I plan on making sure that happens.

Guess I should have updated. Turns out the CO was off the charts high and the TPS set incorrectly as well. They made the adjustments and have not had a hiccup since...runs great. I think the problem is that some of these dealers installing the systems are not schooled in the correct setting of the ecu once the system is installed hence the problems. Just my opinion.
