Default new to SoCal and new ducati owner...need some advice for some good twisties

hello folks,

i'll be picking up my first ducati (S4 Foggy) tomorrow from Pro Italia in glendale. can anyone point me to some good riding? i'll be wanting to get on some twisties and get aquainted with my new duc. i'll be in glendale so i guess that would be a good place to start. i'll be getting there around 11am so i should be able to get on the road by noon. that leaves me some time to clock some miles before rush hour hits. i'm currently staying in santa clarita off of CA14.

all the best

Angeles Crest Highway is around the corner from there.....they should be able to tell you how to get there.

Later.

ACH is probably one of the best canyons around socal! Nice and freshly paved. Only downside is that there are a TON of cops around now.

Also try Azusa/GMR (watch out on GMR though, no double yellow in some parts)

actually I heard GMR has been closed due to high fire danger. Just what I heard.

I was up thru the GMR last week and it was great. Although, I do think that the ACH is a smoother ride right now. As previously mentioned though, keeps your speeds in check as the cops have been making their presence known as of late. Enjoy!

Try Sanfrancisquito, Bouquet Canyon, or Lake Hughes Road towards Palmdale.

go to maps.google.com
if you focus on glendale and look west you'll see ventura
look north of it and you see the long twisty 33.

there's also a few canyons in malibu but maybe 5 miles max
