Default CRG clutch issues

So, I just got my new crg clutch on my Monster, and I'm having some issues. :

After I got the clutch on, shifting into gears suddenly became really clunky. It's really tough to shift into gears with the clutch pulled in, and finding neutral is really difficult. I have to push pretty hard with my foot and it slides right past neutral most of the time.

Also, somehow my kickstand safety engine kill is gone. I can now ride the bike with the kickstand down. Previous the engine would die as soon as I shifted into 1st with the kickstand down.

I got the special part from pnut to hit the little button so that I can start the bike in gear if I want, and that is already installed.

I am sure MetalDuc and I will tinker a little more with the adjusting, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice. Thanks!

Hard to say why, but the clutch isn't completely disengaging when you pull the lever. It could be that the lever is just adjusted so close to the bar that there isn't enough travel to completely disengage. Try adjusting the lever a little further out and see whether that helps. I suppose it could also just be inherent to the geometry of the lever, but if that were the case it seems like people all over would be complaining about it.

Loosing the kickstand cutout, I'm not sure about...

no idea on the kickstand, that's got nothing to do with the lever ???

+1 on the clutch being too close to the bar. Do you have the roll-a-click set to 1? Just for experimentation, try upping it to 2 or 3 and see if you get a full clutch pull that fixes this behavior.

Thanks. I have the setting at 2 right now, so maybe I will try upping it to 3 and try to adjust it farther from the bar.

+1 on the previous lever adjust comments.

The Pnut switch gizmo is not a slam-dunk.
It needs careful adjustment, and may need a bit of bending/filing to work properly.
I've fitted one, and had to bend it *perfectly* so it would clear the bar-mounted switch housing and still actuate the switch.

Thanks pnut. I think your part is working ok since I see it not touching the button when the clutch is out, and pushing the button when the clutch is in. I'll fiddle a little more and see how it goes, and if it is still funky I'll give you a ring.

You should be able to hear the switch 'click'.
