Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
I'm doing a lot better, my hand is usable now. I'm gonna try and ride today and see how it goes. But, I WILL be riding down to the show in LB saturday cause the parking can be a PITA and 8 bucks if you cage it.

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
Soooo? Who all's gonna be there tomorrow? I am!
I'll be in a Toyota pick-up, 2 bikes in the back. One GSXR spray painted gray, one R6, spraypainted blue.
We'll probably set up right by the start/finish tower. Let me know if you're gonna be there and we'll hook up.
- Matt

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
Awesome time yesterday!! [clap]
Now I just need to figure out how to get a full night sleep prior to my track days and I'll be able to ride all day with some intensity.
That is a physical little track. My thighs are on fire this morning.
PS If you go to the track with SteveG bring extra gas. ;D

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
Steve had a 5-gallon canister of extra gas waiting for him in my trailer, he just didn't know it
Had a good time, will have to do it again soon.

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
That was FUN! Great to see everyone out there. Even greater than none of us modified our bikes against the ground! Hopefully next time it will work out for some of the folks that weren't able to make it yesterday.
It's funny, It felt like I was going so fast until Ryan, Matt, Nick, or any of other countless bikes blasted past me! Then I saw the photos, and I was like, 'damn, I really am slow!' No matter, it was an absolute blast. I can't believe how much more physical the Streets are than the big track. Constant work! I'm pretty sore today... and I can't wait until the next time.
Greg, next time we ride we'll fill up your tank on my dime; thanks for the go-juice.
Ryan, thanks again.
Steve

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
If you were slow where does that leave me?* *:'(
I'm glad I ran B group, my first time, but I was the slowest for sure.* Not a single pass by me.* I look at it as good passing practice for the other guys.* A public service, if you will!* I was protecting my line as to force them to really work for the pass, yeah right.* :
How many more crashes in the Race group after I left?* That was pretty sketchy out there.
That R1 highside cured me of my lust for a modern liter bike.

Re: Streets of Willow Sun Dec 11
that R1 crash chilled me to the bone. It was after seeing that that I turned my fastest lap time of the weekend. Stupid is the first word that comes to mind.
Loved seeing all the monsters out there. Ya'll were definitely a force to be reckoned with.
