Default Shit!

So I finished up my bike last night ... heated grips, hard wired and nicely mounted radar, new CRG mirrors. Hid all the wires perfectly, polished her up - ready for the season! Rode into work, pulled in the parking lot, and my boss pulls up. He says - let me take it around the lot real fast. You can guess what happened next. Flop! Fuck ... he dropped it at low speed, dented the tank, ruined one mirror, bent my shifter. Somehow no other damage was done, but THAT SUCKS!!! I think that's the last time I let anyone ride my bike.
So I might not be out this weekend, or maybe next, depends on how long it takes to get the tank painted. I'm taking it in today (was going to go riding .. but not so much anymore).
ARRRGGG.... funny thing is, I actually feel worse for him than me. He feels super shitty about it, knows how much I love that bike.
Oh well - could have been worse I suppose.

Sorry to hear man. :'( I'm in the same boat where I no longer do I let anyone "take 'er for a spin."

It's amazing how people think they can just hop on your bike without asking too. I had my bike for no more than a week when I ran into a friend at Choppers. She was yackin all about has awesome she thought it was and all I had to do was turn away for five seconds to take my helmet and the next thing I see is her on the ground with my bike on top. Thank god the frame sliders did their job and I rode away with only a couple scratches on the CRG mirror. 8)

Is your boss going to step up and pay for all the damage? Total bummer though. Nothing worse than seeing someone take your ride done. That's your privilege. ;D

Someone once asked to "take 'er for a spin". I said no. He said "a spin or your job." I said "then, I quit. I don't ever loan out my baby." I still have said job, but no one ever dares ask to ride my monster. They know better.

Yea, he's paying for it. Just took it down to the Chopfathers .. going to run between 400-600 to fix the tank, and another 100 or so in misc parts (shifter, etc...). But he can't fit it in for a couple of weeks. Bike still runs fine now and looks fine (mostly) too, so I'm still riding!
