Default Japan Ducati owners get-together...April --?

What are your feelings on having a get-together in early April sometime?

We could shoot for a Saturday meeting and hold it Sunday if Saturday rains out. I'm not sure if everyone here is military, so could someone sign someone on with their bike?

I'm down for some lunch at Chili's (or where-ever) and then maybe a group ride so we can get some pictures.

April 5th or 12th?

Thoughts?

Dana

I'm in once I get my bike paperwork'd. DOn't know how long it'll take though. Lots of random underway time and long workdays in between. April 13th is my birthday. If all is settled, I wouldn't mind a ride on the 12th. But, it'll have been a hear and a half since I've ridden. And, less than 1 month of riding in Japan. So, it'd have to be a familiarizing ride for me.

I'm in for a get together and a ride on the 12th but I will be in Okinawa on the 5th so thats a no go. I got a couple other guys I ride with that are always down for a good ride. Plus one of them has been in Yokosuka for something like 15 years and knows all the hidden twisties in Muira.

I have no problem signing in anyone who wants to come on base as long as the paperwork on the bike is good.

Hey what are you guys doing on the 22nd or 23rd? I think we are going to head up to the skyline for a good day in the mountains. I will cost about 3000 yen in tolls and you will need to top off your tank before we head back plus lunch and drink type stuff. But I will tell you guys that these roads are awesome in Hokone. I have riden Deals Gap and Palomar and Hokone is my favorite place in the world to ride! Let me know.

And slowpoke if you need some help with registration let me know because I will running up to LTO some time next week to register my new bike too. If you wanna free ride up just let me know.

+1 for Hakone which I know (kind of) or back roads on Miura is also fine (I don't know that at all so could be interesting)

What kind of pace are you expecting to ride at?

You have a pick-up to take the bike to LTO? Do I have to take the bike up to LTO? I'm kinda pickled...

Sorry but I wont have any paperwork until Sunday. So this week is out for me. Besides it seems my inport period has been slightly shortened as of this morning.

I dont have a pick up but I have a bunch of buddies over at CSCS and I can borrow the kei truck if needed for anything I need. Works out great for moving.

No you dont need to take the bike just the paperwork. The ladies over at the vro will tell you everything. But the process is vro then lto then city hall and back to vro for your stickers. I have done it about 5 times and i can usually get everthing done before lunch.

PS I may not be able to go to the meeting on the 12th due to ships sched but I should know soon if I can be there.

Man I need some shoreduty!!!!
