General forum people are
really nice, but the the m400 wasn't imported to western countries much so I don't have an answer yet.
Can someone of you with either personal knowledge/ownership of the early m400, or with friendly links to such people, provide advice here or in the original
thread? Thanks.

Relevant details I can spot are:
-Clutch hose "plugs" to the right side of the engine --thanks to member DuckStew!
-Carbs,
-No Kill-Contact Switch on lateral stand,
-Non-adjustable front fork, although it's serious 40(?)mm upsd gold color, no markings
-rear shock does not have an external gaz canister,
-Clear heads, black cylinders,
-dark grey
metallic camchain covers & rocker covers.
Stickers on bike say:
-recommended tires are "Dunlop Sportmax" or "Michelin A59X/M59X"
-Oil "Agip Super Racing"
-Front pressure 2, back 2.3 (unliike 2.1 in the 2000 owners manual from Ducati.com)
