Default Which gas here?

I'm back in Tokyo and this time I'm bringing a friend - the monster > It'll be here in a few weeks.

Would someone clue me in on what gas to get? I've seen blue and red at Eneos. I don't want premium, just regular. Any help appreciated.

Im not sure how gasoline is rated in Japan. If an octane rating is available then you should
get gasoline rated in the high 80's or better low 90's.
Try regular and premium to see if it affects your bike's performance. I did the same in the US and did not notice any difference.

Where abouts are you located? I have a 996S near Hachioji.

For regular fill up: Re-gyu-la monton. cashu de (fill up regular, paying by cash)

For premium fill up: High Oku monton. cashu de (fill up high octane, paying by cash)

I've gotten both and they're both fine...just $6+ a gallon!

High Oku is around 110 Octane, I found on my '02 M900ie that regular gives me better power and economy.

110 sounds a little high. I'll stick with the regular and see how it goes. Should be okay.

Just got my registration this week. Pity winter is almost upon us. Oh well. I got a three year shaken on this baby. Plenty of time.

I almost always try to get mine on base, but sometimes I'm just into the ride that I don't want to head all the way back for gas (my wallet sure hates me though!)
