Default Bringing a bike to Japan
I may be moving to Tokyo in a year. How hard is it to bring a bike into the country?

I'm currently doing this. My monster is packed and ready to ship out. I still don't know much about what's going to happen at the other end but give me a month or so and I should have some answers for you.

the us government moved my bike, so I don't know about the civilian side of the house but....
