Default Do you ride with an open faced or 'skull cap' helmet?

When I was in Tokyo last year I noticed how very prevalent these type of helmets are. They seem to be very popular with riders of the three dominant motorcycle types I saw there - scooters, retros and cruisers. The only full faced helmets I remember seeing were guys on sportsbikes, but then not all sportsbike riders had full faced helmets. The monster is a bit of an oddball - half sportsbike, half cafe racer maybe.

So monster riders, tell me what type of helmet you have or what you have seen.

I wear a full face, and after watching my wife slide across an intersection on hers, I will never wear anything different.

I see the scooter croud mostly wearing the >125cc aproved lids, along with the TW guys. It's their face, not mine.

Full face and FULL gear is the only way to be sure that you have done everything possible to protect yourself. Anything else is just Pride or lack of fear. Two very dangerous things while riding a motorcycle.
