Does anyone find gel grips or heavier bar ends make a difference?

I had this same problem and I found that I had to always keeps my elbows bent. I was getting lazy and locking my elbows. Now I have to consciously tell myself to bend my elbows and use back and legs to support my upper body.

BTW, Grips helped slightly, but as others have suggested body position

More than any other bike I have owned, the Duc requires particular attention to riding position. I grip the tank with my knees and crouch over the tank making sure to bend my elbows out (Ben Spies style) - since doing this, the pain in my wrists have substantially disappeared.

I never had any problem with my wrists or back, etc. It was just my hand that would get tired, and at one point felt like I was developing carpal tunnel syndrome from maintaining the grip on the throttle for hours at a time. The CrampBuster doubled my range by itself, alleviating that problem by letting me control throttle without having to keep a grip on it. Without that, 300 miles in a day is a limit, and I can't do that several days in a row. With it, 5-600 miles in a day is easy, as many days as I want.

My 2 cents. You should be holding up your upper body with your midsection. Try gripping the tank as said before and tightening up your stomach muscles. Takes a little practice but your shouldn't be leaning on your arms or wrists.

As Captain Hook would say, "BAD FORM"

Somach mussels, what are they? Oh damn, this might help me rediscover that six pack lost within my beer keg.

I likewise get numbness in the righthand, this can be scary when you realize you can't feel the brake lever. So by using my knees and whatever stomach mussel remain, the hand is much better and I get an ab workout into the bargain, which is also long overdue.
