Sore calves and ankles on long rides
I took my Monster out for a day-long ride Saturday and a half-day ride Sunday last weekend.
The only trouble I have position-wise is my ankles and calves; they get really sore. So much so that it was almost distracting Sunday; I stood up and rested my feet on the passenger pegs when I could, as well as shifting around, but it didn't help much.
With the balls of my feet on the pegs in the saddle my heels are pretty much "down" (old equestrian term, if that means anything to anyone reading) so the back and sides of my calves get quite sore.
Is there anything for it, other than conditioning/stretching the calves? I have pretty high footpegs on my BMW, but not as much as the Monster--and didn't have an issue after the first couple hundred miles with that bike. I'm over 2k miles on the Monster and it's yet to break me in to its riding position.
Suggestions?
