Default Re: S4rs accidental wheelie never happens??

The only intentional wheelie I can do is a clutch one from a standstill, and a clumsy one at that! My unintentional ones were when pulling on to road islands chocked with rush hour traffic -slip the clutch give it some throttle to smartly get up to speed with the traffic- cant say how high the wheel gets or even if others notice my stunt at all, but I’m always slightly embarrassed if it happens

of course its all to what the rider is comfortable with. On the monster 1st 2nd power weelies never get you up that high for one your already speeding and the power band goes away quite rapidly. but at a lower speed in 3rd or even 2nd at low speeds with a light brunt of throttle and releasing of the clutch will get the fron end up to a 2 1/2 foot weelie that you could easily ride through. and if you feel like your gonna flip back its better to put in the clutch than release the throttle. because you can rip the throttle again once you hit the pavement and you would be in alot more trouble.

Riding in first gear on my Monster, say in a parking lot, just a little over idle, about 5-10 mph, watching out for kids darting from cars, etc..... if I crack the throttle less than 1/4 turn, the front wheel is instantly 6 inches in the air. I surmise that if I twist the throttle further, the front end is goin past vertical long before I hit 11,000 rpm somewhere near 60 mph.

Oh yeah thats how to do it. [chuckle] But i like to do it next to a car full or very fine women. Just a rev to get thier attention and a release of the clutch and the women are moist and ready to give digits lol. (make sure thier pretty first). nothing like a car full of fat chick to get you up to 120 in a hurry lol.

Come on guys, wheelies are wheelies and I never get tired of doing them! Don't get me wrong, i'm not one of 'them' though I did come from a stunt crowd lol then made the full blown backroad assassin transition...wheelies are part of riding and happen unintentionally like in racing just make sure you've got a firm grip on yous bars when your leaned over one-wheeled, tank-slappers suck! Most of my wheelies are self-induced and are quite high (look to the side for sight lol) and can last first through fifth and go for a mile or so...balance point was easier on my gixxer but not half as cool

So, are we done talking about wheelies? Interesting conversations.

Tell me... how does Christian Pfeiffer do it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLYAA-CqDPw

I've only done a couple on my S4, in first gear. Power wheelies I guess you'd call them,... on take off. I just have this vision of the dang thing going over backwards... cuz there are also some videos of what not to do as well... don't want to go there.
