You guys are my heroes. I can't stop with the wheelie thing.

I think my Rs is defective. The front wheel is just repulsed by asphalt I guess.

DML fans, be sure to keep an eye out for my upcoming new threads very soon:

"How do I replace the bearings in the stearing head?"
"Can the cracked frame/engine case/forktubes/stearing head be repaired"
"Do rake and trail commonly increase over time?"
"My front tire doesn't leak, but I have to refill it daily?"
"My radiator keeps hitting my front mudgaurd" (sadly, this one is true!)
"How did my license tag pierce my beer tray?"

and, my all-time favorite:

"I keep having to re-adjust my mirrors, what gives!!!"

LOL.

John

> I'm not really interested in riding down the road on the rear wheel like Jason Britton. Even so, my 100% stock S4Rs brings the front wheel up exiting corners with slight aggression. It's probably only inches. Also any aggressive transition from 1st to 2nd gear will do the same thing.

I've done a couple on my S4.

One was much like alifecoach had, except I hit a botts dot just as I cranked the throttle.
Didn't come up very high, but it still wasn't the way I wanted to enter the intersection.

I can guarentee you I have never done an ACCIDENTAL wheelie. But then again I am always looking for an oppertunity to do one on purpose [laugh] . Put it in 3rd, loft her up, hold for desired duration; maybe even give the thumbs up back to the soccer team in the minnivan.

Weelies are real easy on s4r's. in first if you just ripp on the throttle smoothly you can get it up skyward with very little work. i can get it up in second in a full fledged race by hitting the power band and third if i just give it a little clutch dump in the main power band and boom im doing one at 90 mph. which is not suggested but still very fun > ;D. But you want to get a weelie out get on a good straight piece of road. drop it down to 1st or 2nd get to around 5-6000 rpm sit back a little and roll on the throttle briskly slightly pulling back on the bars and that baby will be up in a NY minute

I never felt comfortable doing "slip the clutch" wheelies......dunno why, but it just feels unnatural to me....I'll usually just power wheelie in 1st or 2nd, and not even that high....(maybe a foot, foot and a half...)
