Default How to wheelie a 750... instructions inside

I admit that at one point I wondered how in the hell someone could wheelie one of these things... I thought it was about impossible... even more so for the 620....

Well.. a Month or so ago, I got some advice, and lo and behold, my front wheel was up off the ground like you wouldn't believe...... and it would come up VERY FAST!

Starting in first gear, speed up till you get to 4000rpms.... then you must do two things simultaneously:

1.) cut the throttle
2.) bend your elbows to make your arms 90degrees

then you must do these two steps simultaneously as well:

1.) get back on the throttle quickly
2.) Extend your elbows quickly giving an ever so slight tug of the bars...

The front wheel will be dangling in the air, and you will get the feeling that you can 12oclock it with no problem.

works in second gear too... albeit a bit more effort. These bikes have more than enough power to wheelie...

FIN

You might want to check out the recent experiences of "pt33" and wheelying a 750 Monster in the SFBMHA section of the Local Clubs.* It's under the heading of "Ride this weekend..."* Several people on that ride have volunteered to help him fix his bike back up.

Now with photos:

That's how Scott actually totalled him monster in that photo. Tankslapper on cattle crossing was just a cover story.

The SFBMHA has had its wheelie casualties lately, that's fo sho.

yeah the wheelie may come up high and fast but you got mods....i have a 2001 750 with only the carbon fiber exhaust .....i tried your way with failure.....and only can get a little wheelie when i drop the clutch in 1st a 5k rpm...which i get it of the ground about a foot.....i dont think im doing anything wong....maybe my bikes a lemon....evry time someone posts a 750 wheelie technique i read it and try it out...nothing so far......i wanna be like that guy in the streetfighter video...cmon guys if you get me doing this...ill have to covert my ducati to limousine length in order to hold all these young gorgeous girls in FSU.....hahahahha...at least that what i hope

I was there for about an hour before I couldn't stop smiling ;D Dude my boik seems hooked to the sky, Its true just let the bike get to about 2-3k rmps hold/let off for a very quick half second and then wack it open, it WILL come right up [thumbsup]
