I"m 6' and 225lbs. Probably 240 with gear. Use your weight to your advantage, sit back in the seat.

My 750 has a 14T on the front, otherwise stock with a de-snorkeled airbox, and the wheel comes up real easy...just hit about 25mph, let off the throttle for a split second to pre-load the forks, then hit it....you can bring it up as high as you want. good luck and be safe.

Hey'yall,

I just started to understand and get the feel of getting the front wheel off the ground by cutting the throttle (1st gear) Like most things cool and fun to do, it seems that it may be hard on the bike. Is there "real damage" that can be inflicted to the bike. Shy of looping it of course.. Stearing head barings, forks, etc...

I am here to tell you that anyone can wheelie, and I got a $1300+ ticket to prove it. Im 6feet tall and weigh in at a crisp 235. I had to practice alot, but its all good. Was riding by a group of kids, saw them all looking at me, slowed down to about 20 (I was in a 25 zone) slipped the clutch in cracked her open to about 8500 RPMs and slipped the clutch back out. Next thing you know I passed the kids on the back wheel at 60 MPH. A cop was on the other side of a building and I got nailed. No hard feelings, he was just doing his job. Sold my bike, went to court and got it dismissed down to $149. The MAN hates wheelies, so be carefull. Just remember PRACTICE makes Perfect.

I just bought my friends M750 that he wrecked about a year ago, trying to show off for some chicks in a jeep. He popped it up, and next thing he newthe front wheel was in the air, he was stretched out like Superman with his feet dragging behind the bike, and then just let go and watched it roll another 30 ft on the back tire, and then SLAM!!!

The girls stopped to see if he was OK and he said" I didn't even look up , I just said yeah, I'm fine, get outa here." LOL, that sucked for him.

So here was the damage, Bent the tail of the fraim up, busted the rear lights, broke a peg, broke both levers, bent the bars, big ole dent in the tank, cracked the front fairing, and bent the hell out of the front rim.

I'm not trying to say wheelies are dumb, I love poppin wheelies, just know that it can go wrong reall quik. Then a year later your buddy(thats me) will buy your bike for $1000, spend a week and anothe $1000 fixing it up, and you'll hate seeing him on it.

I've still got the dent in the tank, and just removed the fairing, but I'm going to take care of that soon.
