the white paint cities use as stripes (the ones that are partially reflective) is very slippery, regardless of rain or not.

they dont see you.
they dont hear you.
they are trying to hit you.
look where you want to go.
baby powder on the junk before a long ride in hot weather.
--- I am still cracking up about the assless chaps. that would be too funny. especially with my hairy butt sticking out of them.

The assless chaps negate the need to powder "your junk" in hot weather. ;D

If I get the feeling that a cager at an intersection doesn't see me coming, I do a quick swerve from one side of my lane to the other side of the same lane.

The only things I can think of that haven't been said before are:

-keep an eye on the front wheel of a car you're concerned about. Even if its just with peripheral vision, I've found that I can tell if/when the car is going to move earlier that way.

-I got the most improvement in my cornering when I focused on pushing with my outside foot (and inside hand, of course) to the point that I could lift my outside hand and inside foot if I wanted. sounds obvious, but it really had an impact in helping me refine my countersteering skills and smooth out my cornering.
