Default 2011 Motogp Indy - Project Mugello Stand

This will be my first visit to Indy and first MotoGP race. I'm trying to decide between the Project Mugello tickets in the North grandstand, which appear to be quite far from the track but give easy access to the Ducati Island stuff, or a South West Vista seat at turn 1.

Anyone take the Project Mugello tickets option in past MotoGPs? If so, would you pick them again, and what did you like about the location?

How about SW Vista seats; there doesn't appear to be a bad seat, for MotoGP race set-up?

Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated...

Jacques

I've sat everywhere in the track for the gp. In my opinion the southern part of the track is best for viewing. Especially, the southeast vista. Only way to get to the infield for the festivities, ducati island, are the tunnels, and those are located on the west and southern parts of the track.

Can't seem to check for SE vista tickets, may be special (VIP?) section?

Is the Ducati Island inside the track, between New Meyers DRive and back straight?

If DUCATI island is in the same location as last year, it'll be on the infield just inside of turn 1.
I looked at the north section of seating, and it is just ok because you are furthest away from the course than any other stands. It depends what your after when watching the bikes run. If you want to watch low speed maneuvering then stay around the north sections. If you want high speed corners then the southern stands are best. The front stretch absolutely sucks, because you can't see anything as those bikes just come by too fast. The southeast vista is not VIP, it's general admission.

I am from Indy, and my dad and I are going this year for the first time.

We have been to the 500 20 some times, many Brickyards, and even 3 of the F1 races that don't run anymore...such a special place.

We are looking forward to checking it out. ;D
