And a huge high-side for Lorenzo. He's doubtful for qualifying.

Took this from our local forum, Maybe broken Ankle? leg? Knee?

an ryder, on the ground in china
Friday, May 02, 2008
Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo just took a big highside in first practice. He was flicked over the top coming 'round the very long, slow left that comprises Turn two. It looked like an off-the-throttle crash. He appeared to land on his knees. He sat up and appeared to be holding his right leg. TV has just shown pictures of activity around the medevac helicopter, and rumors say he has damaged his ankle. Rossi finished the session quickest from Stoner with the rest a long way back. Pedrosa and Dovizioso were third and fourth.

Wow, that was a nasty high side.

His bike seemed to twitch oddly on transition, which sent him into the air. Anyone catch that enough to know how/why?

When he flicked it up from full right lean, his front tire came off the ground just a bit.

When it set back down, he had it turned right just a bit, which was kinda OK, as he was cranking the bike over to full lean left.

But when he cranked it back to the left to set the lean, it lifted the rear a bit and 'round she came.

Man he got a lot of air.
