who will finish higher in the 2008 motogp championship, rossi or stoner?

i think rossi will be more consistent than stoner.

neither of them are likely to win the championship, but i think rossi will place higher.

I don't think either will win the championship, but I vote Stoner will place higher.

I think Rossi is going to have a mental collapse due to the nagging tire choice and his team mate's stellar performance.

It is a tougher choice now versus before Jerez, when I thought Stoner would repeat as Champion. It would be easier to pick Rossi right now, since he is ahead in points, and has been more consistent.

rossi isn't the type to have mental collapses though.

he thrives on competition and coming from the back/middle of the pack. he has always seemed to perform better when he has a target to chase down, whereas stoner seems to prefer the clear skies of P1.

I think Stoner will place higher because he wants to show it's his skill that got him where he is. Not saying that Rossi isn't hungry for the title.

i don't think you can know anythying after 2 races...
the notion of rossi having a mental failure is downright funny. S H O R T M E M O R Y.
the bigger risk right now is whether ducati has just let stoner develop the bike into being completely unrideable for anyone, rather than just unrideable for anyone but casey.

i think the championship is up in the air, as is potentially the answer to this question. but i picked rossi based on consistency so far and, more importantly, 7 titles and some of the greatest riding the world has ever seen.

Rossi.

Couple things. It's obvious the Duc has issues - no one but Stoner can ride it and even he's not happy with it right now. Hell, they're trying to bring Bayliss and Biaggi in to test and figure out what's wrong - that's saying something.

Rossi collapse mentally? There probably isn't a soul on any racetrack that is less likely to happen to. So far, it looks like Stoner is the one who's having a rough go of it mentally judging by his comments (and lack thereof in some cases) to the media.

I think they'll both be top 5, but I think it will be Rossi, Pedro, Lorenzo, Stoner, Hopkins. How's that for a prediction?

no doubt that stoner wants to show he's running the number one because of his skill. the only problem is, rossi has him out-skilled. [cheeky]

btw, if hunger was the sole factor in determining the world champion, there'd be 20-something guys on the grid in contention to see who's is the hungrierest. ;D
