he must be mid-release from his downshifts... he wouldn't be clutching for his upshifts on the exit.

He's leaned over awful far to still be downshifting, but I recall onboard footage of Rossi with 4 fingers on the front brake and he was almost that far over.
The mind boggles.

I doubt it, he pretty far into the corner to be just re-engaging the clutch from a downshift. A lot of the GP guys modulate their mid-corner speed with the clutch (Rossi is the king of this). I would imagine that Casey does something very similar.

i blame my vagueness on lack of coffee and early morning posting. [cheeky]
if you watch rossi, he clutches his downshifts then feeds the clutch out as he heads through the turn.
edit: wish i knew which turn that was in. that'd probably shed some light on what he'd be doing at that moment.
