Figured I'd resurrect this thread now that the Monster Racer is FINALLY getting ready to hit the track! I'm planning to have it out at a track day on Monday for the first shakedown outing. I've ended up changing a few things, but still on track with most of the original plan: 944 high-comp pistons, Nichols flywheel, dual-spark conversion and ported heads, 41mm flatslides, Sil-Motor spaghetti headers and Leo Vince ti pipes, Ohlins forks and shock, Brembo 4-pad calipers and full-floating rotors, custom 30mm offset triples, Carrozzeria forged Al wheels, 748 upper fairing and solo tail, Roadracing aluminum tank, DP rearsets and a Starlane tach/GPS lap timer. I'll post up some pics as soon as I get the belly pan mounted, it turned out pretty nice and it looks very unique! I think the other racers in my region will be scratching their heads on what the heck that bike is.... As long as I can pass the Buells I'll be happy!
