Default Decisions to be made

Hello All,
I have been riding for 10 years. Have owned three Triumphs.
My current bike is a 1997 Triumph Thunderbird - armed with the 3 cyl. 900cc

I commute to work daily with this bike, into downtown Boston.
Rain or shine.. warm or cold.. as long as there is no snow.. I go.

However, the time has come for a more nimble bike for the commute.
The Triumph is a great bike but it handles like a rowboat, in traffic.
I ride fairly aggressively.

I have decided to get a Monster. The question is which one?
Given my experience - the type of riding - ect. what would folks recommend?

A two year old 796? A New 696?
Comments?

If you want aggressive, and less money than the current line up, get yourself an S4RS. An absolute beast and smooth as butter.

I couldn't agree more. I wouldn't trade mine for any of the new Monsters. Of the 50 or so bikes I have owned, the S4RS is the one I will keep until my demise.
