Super nice S4R rear shock.
I was able to pick up a super nice rear shock from an S4R to try and fit in my KX60 dirt bike. I currently have a M600 rear shock mounted in the KX60 and I can say they are the same size as I was able to fit the S4R shock into the KX60, however the reservoir strikes the frame and I will be unable to use it in the little bike.
So it appears the shock may fit all regular early "M" and "S" bikes. Eye to eye length is about 13". Will definitely fit all S bikes.
A crappy cell phone picture.
The shock was removed from a bike with about 100 miles on it and replaced with Ohlins. I knew the original owner and can vouch that this shock has no damage. There are some light shelf scratches on it that are barely noticeable and won't be seen when mounted. I've forgotten the year for which it was mounted but looking online for others, I've not seen them with the CNC'd tube at the reservoir, most had the reservoir cast into the body. This thing is almost identical to my S4RS Ohlins shock. I thought about keeping it for myself as a spare but alas I just don't need it lying around. Buy it as a spare for your bike, buy it as an upgrade as this is one nice piece of kit.
Clean shocks like this on Ebay are around $400. Beat up units are $200 or so. I'm offering it at $300 shipped. Will take Paypal. I'll also entertain your OBO, but only if you send it via a PM. Any offers made in a thread reply will be ignored.
