Monster Insurance in Australia

Hi everyone living in Adelaide and just recently acquired my 2009 Monster 1100S an absolutely loving it.

I just want to ask a question regarding insurance. The best quote I got was through Swann was $950 which I was surprised at and thought was way too high. Any recommendations? and for information I have a full no claim bonus rating 1, 39 years old and never made an insurance claim for either bikes or cars in my life.

I'm with NRMA and pay about AU$820 for the same bike. However, I have a big no claims, loyalty and multi-policy discount.

Insurance

Have you checked out http://www.realinsurance.com.au/? I've been with them for several years and have never had any problems. Their quotes are very reasonable.

I have used Insure My Ride for a few bikes and they seem to go well. I had a claim about five years ago and it was very smooth. They are upfront about costs and values. I don't know if it's still available but I put my wife as the youngest rider, still insured by my under my name, and that knocked off another $50.00 per year.

I just bought a 2010 M1100, Swann quoted me $872 and that was with a claim with them last year when my bike was written-off completely and I had no hassles there either. Agreed value of $20k and $3k in gear cost coverage as well. 2 year as-new replacement.

Yep QBE - just insured mine - Even dealer said Swann way too expensive for Ducati, and they go with QBE as well.
