Default Tank respray/10,000 km service

Hi guys,

I live in Manly, NSW.

Recently dented tank - bike hit the footpath and bent bars into tank - stupid.

Anyways I am hoping someone here may know of a panelbeaters that specializes in quality mc tank repairs and respray in Sydney region. I have been given info about Kalidiscope (hornsby) who apparently are very reputable - anybody dealt with these guys before?

Also coming up to 10,000 km service - my first service in ownership of the bike. I keep hearing reports "...it'll cost you two arms and two legs" etc. On reading some of the posts i understand there are many of you with a bucket load of technical experience and are very monster savvy. On talking to some of the bike stores on the Northern beaches it seems that Duc mechanics are like Hens teeth and frankly some don't want a bar of them (i.e. Ducatis in general). Again anyone know of an honest/thorough Duc mechanic? If they do a decent job i'm sold - nothin better than the trust that is earn't from a decent and noticible service on your bike.

Cheers lads

Blue skies - must ride : )

hey mate just got my 2001 s4 serviced- the 40'000km one.
i live in dubbo but don't think anyone here is reliable, so i got it done in bathurst.
great western motorcycles. mechanic says the 10 thou services are more of a quick check over and every 20 thou they do a major. being tyhe 4 valve motor there was a fair few hours spent on the valves/ cams and it came to around $700 in labour, and all the fluids, filters and belts changed (incl. fork oil) it ended up about $1500.
but a 10000 on a 2valve motor should be alot less trouble im thinking

edit/ sorry that price also included a front tyre @ $190

Thumbs up

Kalidescope are excellent! For the rest call George Tamine 0411136006, tell him you were talking with Aunty mal. George is Ducati Factory trained, ex NFI/Frasers, has looked after all our team race bikes for the last millenia!....and my road bikes, st2 140,000 ks etc. He is also a former American superbike wrench, and most importantly, is a damn fine person, who refuses to overcharge and loves to see folk enjoy their Ducati. Seriously, you can't go wrong. Ride Safe, Aunty Mal
