Default Did the 2004 'Matrix' edition ever make it down under?

Anyone know if the Matrix monster or 998 ever made it to these shores?

Ever seen one? Anyone got one?

Thanks in advance

I've asked that before on the main board. There was no clear answer, however the general consesus was that it was a North America model only..... - Chris

Thats one of the Matrix Edition models!!! Good find! There was also Monsters in that colour! They do look pretty awesome! I think they might have had 748's too... but Im not too sure. - Chris

yeah, it was the 2004 620 ie, and the numbers produced (and sold - turned out not to be that successful) and a bit mythical. I ran through 4 pages and about 50 threads under the search Matrix, essnas has one and the graphics are brilliant...behind the Ducati tank decal is the falling icons of The Matrix.

Of course the movie (The Matrix: reloaded) featured a 996 but the model had become a 998 by the time the movie was released and the bike as merchandise!

The anwser is Yes - I have seen on in Oz. When I was at the 2007 NDR in Canberra they had one on display - 998 version. Not sure if it is a North America import or not but it is definatly in Oz.

Good luck in your search!

oh - I don't really want one for myself - just before I send a sci-fi movie buff friend of mine (who just got his license) into ecstasy fits - it would be the ultimate for him.

Just saw a shot of the 998 rear it has Matrix Reloaded written in font on the lower section (near the rails). Wonder if the monster cowl has anything?
