And you have to be bloody good with your brakes!!

You may be ok on a track when you know when you are going to apply them, but add emergency reaction and the sphincter pucker factor and all your techniques turn to shite. ???
One of the most common reactions is to go back to what your brain knows best and that is the car drivers reaction which is right foot..............REAR BRAKE!! :

Unfortunately stats show that we as motorcyclists dont do very well with brakes in emergency situations, lotsa rear and bugger all front( If the front gets used at all!!)
How many motorcyclists actually go out and practice their braking techniques and add in the unknown starting point (get a mate to give you the start braking now signal) from varying real world speeds and as hard as you can???
Not very many I'll bet

Now there is something a group can do on a weekend for an hour or so before going on a ride [thumbsup]
