1977 triumph bonneville complete project bike with title! (SF bay area)
I am selling a rolling project--ready to assemble--1977 triumph bonneville t140. The bike has a title with matching frame and case numbers, and was working when taken apart for restoration. I have all the mechanical components in boxes: valves, heads have been sandblasted and just need to be relapped (tool and compound included), Carbs have been cleaned/blasted and ready for reassembly--everything, as far as I can tell, is ready to go. For the mechanic novice, this is a great opportunity to learn from a polished project--
The bike is at a great stage for a custom paint scheme/restoration. The bodywork is in decent shape, but now would be the time to powdercoat, paint, or polish any remaining parts before reassembly. My plan was to turn this into a cafe racer with a custom paint scheme, but ran out of time/money as a grad student.
Some additional goods: I have an engine stand for the bike, a video that goes through the restoration project, and additional literature. I also spent 400 dollars on stainless steel hardware that is not easy to find online. I basically created a kit from measurements I took--all of which, I might add, are SAE--not whitworth like the earlier bikes, so no need to get new tools! Notice also that the engine cases have been thoroughly cleaned and polished. You could eat off this thing.
The parts are labeled and tucked away in boxes for the most part, but I have everything. I am asking 3,100 for the bike. Located in SF bay area. Fits in your living room. Trust me.
Thanks for looking-
