For sale: 1999 996 biposto. Has just under 12K miles on it. Clean title, and in hand. Registered in Texas. Lots of goodies on it, including:
CF airbox, rear hugger, chain guard, heel guard, pipe guard, and full ignition-to-back-of-tank-guard.
1/2 CF Termi 45/50 race system (no baffles, this year model came without them)
Ducati Corse oil cooler (just installed)
Ohlins rear shock (sprung for 175 lb. rider)
Ohlins front fork seal kit (put on Showa shocks...man it's butter) (set for 175 lb. rider)
Ohlins steering dampener
Marchesini 5 spoke magnesium greys
Corbin seat
Yoyodyne clutch slave
New yuasa battery
Starter solenoid recently replaced
New Michelin Pilot Powers with 2 track days and about 500-1000 miles on them (so they're perfectly broken in now, in other words, and not slick)
Yuasa battery tender leads installed, but I do not have a tender for it
12K service performed at Advanced Motor Sports by Stuart in Alvarado, Texas. After a thorough looking over, he pronounced the bike mechanically sound. He said the rocker arms had all been replaced, and were done by Megacycle.
I have all the paperwork on the bike, including all maintenance and parts installed, that I have had done since I bought it in October 2007. I DO NOT HAVE PAPERWORK ON IT BEFORE THEN. However, this bike has no issues mechancially or electrically since I've owned it, save for having to replace the starter solenoid. This bike is NOT a project bike; she's ready to ride.
This bike has been down one time, at the track at around 35-45 mph. Most of the damage was cosmetic, except for the oil cooler being punctured, which is why the new Corse oil cooler was just installed. I have an entire spare set of unpainted bodywork, by e-racings (less expensive brand than sharkskinz, but sure as heck not as cheap as cheetah and some of those others...these are good quality ones), that I would be willing to let go with the bike to whomever buys it. So in other words, you're getting a $450 set of bodywork (Nose, uppers, lowers, tail, front fender) for FREE. They are well primered, all you have to do is sand and paint, and they are the street version so they have head/tail light cutouts.

A couple of extras that I will be willing to sell: A T-rex rear stand for single sided swingarm, bought for $185, will sell for $115, and a Condor ride-on front wheel stand, bought for $200 and never used it, so that's what I'm asking for it is $200. *********************STANDS ARE BOTH SOLD, NO LONGER FOR SALE**************************************
Not interested in any trades. I'm asking $5000-$6500 for it, which is right at the target price for both KBB and NADA (check it out if you don't believe me). This bike is nothing short of a dream, and it deserves to go to someone who'll enjoy it as much as I have.
