Ducati 916 - $4,500 or best offer. Also open to trades.
Located in Oakland, CA.
1995: Last year they were hand built. This street machine comes with a ton of upgrades ($), new parts ($), and fresh 6000 mile maintenance ($).
Upgrades include: Termi CF exhaust (makes this the best sounding bike I've heard, hands down), Ohlins shock, CF airbox tray (adds 20% rigidity to frame), Corbin leather seat (scuffed), stainless steel front and rear brake lines and clutch line, CF tank protector, CF heel guards, CF heat shield, rear turn signals mounted in tail air vents, license plate relocated and lit with LEDs, custom billet spacers for stock clutch cover, Thermo-tech exhaust wrap and heat tape.
New parts include: new Michelin Pilot Powers front and rear (less than 300 miles on them), 996 stainless steel front brake rotors (replace warp-prone 916 rotors), Ferodo Premier brake pads, fuel pump, fuel filter, oil filters (both), fuel line and fuel pump gaskets, entirely new clutch (basket, plates, bearings, seals, pressure plate, rod), grips, throttle cable, Yuasa battery, chain, bodywork (fender and tail are stock pieces, the rest are race glass), axle nut, component to disable kickstand auto-retract…
Maintenance: 6k service including valve adjustment just performed by Nichols in Milpitas. All fresh fluids. Brake system overhaul.
Extras: Haynes shop manual, red Ducati bike cover, extra key, assorted bits and spares. I also have some extra parts that I might sell separately or we can negotiate to include them in this sale: billet rearsets, stock seat, Ohlins spanner wrench, eccentric chain adjuster spanner wrench, full set of bashed up track glass (Sharkskinz) AND a banged up but non-leaky tank, all in stock yellow trim, brand new fiberglass street tail and front fender, unpainted and never mounted, spare fuel pump and a reversible front/rear Pitbull ss swingarm stand.
I just bought this bike 2 months ago from a DML member, put a lot of time and money getting it into tip top shape, and then decided its more bike than I need for the riding I do. Also open to trades. Bike has a clean title, 40,xxx miles, registered through 2009. Bike isn’t a trailer queen; there are cosmetic blemishes and its painted rattle-can flat black but it gets admiring looks and compliments every day. No cracks or dents so it's ready to prep and paint if you want to go that route.
Not desperate for sale or in a hurry, so lowballers please move on. The bike is freakin' awesome.
interested, very interested. i'm about 10 from anywhere in oakland.
