Default They reduced my fine

Regarding that ticket i got, i got a stupid reducion $115 to $90. :/ so i either pay, or fight it again, which ends up having my ticket thrown out, or i have to pay the full fine of $115. $25 isnt even a reduction.

SO wats the recommendation from the ticket fighting gurus here? All in? or cut my losses and pay the fine? Apparently someone doesnt review your case until you decide not to pay the reduced fine.

If it's in NYC don't bother fighting, traffic court is kind of a misnomer, it's not a court at all. Not in NYC, it's up to you.

If there are points involve fight tooth and nail.

If no points take the reduction as a small victory.

no poinits invovled at all. I met a meter lady and she said that you should always fight it. they will always reduce the fine without looking over the incident or submitted evidence. Its only after you deny the reduced fine, that they will consider the evidence.

on papermy bike is listed as a black ducati for some reason, but it was originally a silver S2R1000. I sent in photographs of my bike with my plates in several different shots (riding up the palisade) with the original body work, silver, next to an acutal black bike, (ducakti 695 dark)

The problem is $25 is hardly a reduction, if thye cut it in half to 60, i would of taken it. but $25? thats a joke. But before i decide, i was just wondering if its even worth fighting.

if $25 isn't much of a reduction for you than $25 extra won't be that much of an increase either, so fight it.

goodluck [thumbsup]

noo this was a different meter maid. The one that gave it to me was a sneaky bitch.
the one that gave me the tip was giving me tips on how to avoid a ticket. aka park in line with a running meter, and you cant be ticketed because they dont know if the meter belongs to you or tthe car next to you.

Always fight a ticket, the city will always reduce the fine. If you have good evidence, go all the way, and they dismiss it sometimes.

What concerns me is not the $90 ticket itself, but all the time and energy spent fighting it. Surely there are better ways to spend your time? Perhaps doing something that would even supplement your income and make the whole issue irrelevant?
