Default "New Rider" ride

I love to ride and love to get people riding. I'm happy to lead a new rider's ride if people can put up with my riding style. Post up if you are interested and which day. I am out of town on the 10th and 11th. Everyone and type of motorcycles are welcomed provided you can live with the following restrictions:
  • Kick-stand up time is no later than 7am from E.Village. We can talk about a second stop for folks who lives outside of NYC. 7am is early, but there's less traffic and po-po on the streets. We'll probably be back in the city around noon 1pm. People should feel free to continue riding if they like
  • Must have insurance, license, current inspection/license stickers, and full riding gear (helmets, boots, jackets). I don't ride w/ squids and I don't want to have to deal with the law
  • Read the Pace. This ride will be at most speed limit +10 while in the straights, strictly speed limit in towns. Twisty section will be the only section that the above does not apply
  • Route (for now) will be 9W up to Bear Mt., Bear Mountain loop, Palisades back. I open to suggestions on the route

I will be demonstrating proper apex turning to the best my ability in case you are interested in the next, but ride the line you are comfortable with. Apex turning for those who are interseted is to ride the outside painted line until the last moment, then aggressively lean the bike and drive out of the turn. Your kicks will not come from high speed, but from the fact that if you don't lean precisely you may run out to the shoulder or oncoming traffic.

If you are experience and interested in helping lead this ride, please post up! Depending on the final size it would be great to have, at minimum, a lead and a sweep!

What is the pace? This is the pace:

I'm willing to help out if I can, but I can't the 18th.
I'll be going to the Lee Parks Level 2 clinic.

I know a few newbie Monster riders that can use a slow pace ride such as this.
BTW The DESMO Newbie ride is this sunday, any newbies interested RSVP before friday.

7am kickoff... I like your style man. 9 out of 10 times my rides start this early; it just feels good to be out in the city before it wakes up. I'm planning on being out this Saturday and will try for 7am if you're down. Let me know and we'll try to plan something. I'd be down for any of the group rides you put out there if I'm available.

I'm a new rider and a new member of the DML and this ride sounds just like what I've been looking for, count me in for any of those dates.
Kinda feel like a moron but I can't find where to RSVP for the newbie ride on the Desmo site.

P.S. The riding gear part, what is the deal with the boots part? Do you mean armored boots, is it going to be a faux pas to show up in Doc Martins?

Anything over ankle and leather-ish is fine. No sneakers.
