Default Sighting

Black monster, West side highway by Canal street, Super chopped tail, Cat udder only. Anyone here?

It was great to hear/see a monster at the end of a long run! Made me smile and gave me a boost to keep running!

How much was the rebuild? Im a bit over what my forks are setup for and im considering doing something about the front. It seems too soft lately for me fully geared.

The 695 is indeed very weak in its front suspension from what my friend has told me from his 695.
I paid $600 for a completely front rebuild with the forks on the bike, and i rode it home that very day, one of the sleeves on my forks were busted so that costs me a bit extra.
The 695 is suppose to have very crappy fluids and the spring rate on those bikes are something along the lines of .4/.6 from what others have said, i cant remember.

Chchadder got his front end rebuilt by ECS, he was the one who recommended me to them. Im very much on cue for "ducati's suspension specs" 155-160lbs but even then the forks were just crap. I honestly think this was the best $600 ive ever spent, even though im super broke right now, its worth a few months of eating top ramen.

If you noticed my other thread, i had a fear of riding the corners, i coudlnt take anything more than 30-40mph. even being on the highway at 60mph it was scary. Now, i superslabbed on the NY state Thru way at very good pace with out fear of losing the bike. The front is so planted and the bike is extremely stable on the straights. Honestly, this is the best big mod you can do to your bike.

FLSTFI, i was still in bed at 8am. did someone steal my bike? :X

Well after the termis that looks like my next upgrade [cheeky]. What about the GSXer fork conversion though you think that might be a cheaper alternative?

I think ud get a huge benefit from going gsxr. It would cost just as much.

Pick up a set and get them rebuilt. Gsxr forks are longer and don't have the right internals. Then just swap them.
