Commuting

Im curious what everyone here wears when commuting? At the moment im wearing full leather gear, boots, pants, jacket, gloves, since i can change at work.

on 90+ days, jeans, rio mesh with CE armor, high neck boots(anything that wont come of on a crash is fine with me) helemt and gloves. I wont see antyhing past 50mph, and probably avg 35mph. There are people who wont agree with my gear, but as someone else puts it, the best gear is the gear you always wear.

Leathers are a bitch to carry around, and its super hot to be wearing it around all day. Im going to get a cable and run it through my helmet and jacket later on this month. All cheap stuff. Rio mesh was $20, and the helmet was $129, so if it gets stolen its not too big of a deal. plus i can get a super long cable to lock my bike to a light post or something.

I do often wear Draggin Jeans for commuting, my compromise in the convenience/safety thing. No matter where I go the minimum is leather with armor, gauntlet gloves, boots and full face helmet. Your particular compromise is your choice.

For my 6 mile battle with traffic... I'm half a squid.

As Howie said, I wear my minimum - riding jacket, short cuff Dainese gloves, and ff helmet. Sometimes I wear my boots, but most often not. For pant I wear double knee Carhartts. This year though I'm gonna try and change all that and be ATGATT.
