Never heard of them, but if you call them, would you check to see if they do ceramic coating and not powder coating? Thanks!

No problem ... but curiously what's the difference between the two?

I know powder coating is just that, it's paint powder sprayed onto your bike part which is electrically charged or the paint is charged.

Ceramic coating is a wet paint I think, but I don't know for sure. Also don't know which is better.

+1. Powdercoating does not stand up to high temp (think exhaust pipes). Ceramics stand up to heat well, but can chip over time from road debris.

That's a negative on the ceramic coating.

Anybody have recommendations for ceramic coaters here in the NYC area?

If you can't find someplace local, then you may want to check this place http://www.jet-hot.com/motorcycles.html

I had mine done with them over the winter and it turned out quite well and so far, the coating is standing up to the heat and no discoloring.
I'll know at the end of the year how well they fair with road debris. (I've already done dirt tracking with them on a GC ride [laugh])

nope ... not with the duc anyways, maybe on a different bike. Despite the 10ft visibility due to dirt smoke and kickup (and the eventual cleaning/dusting off the bike ... you know how I like to start a ride on a clean bike : )
I actually had fun on that road ;D

edit: sorry to threadjack ... ok so where we're we ??

I'll remember you said that for next time >

Back on topic, I know of a few powdercoaters in the area but with varying degrees of quality. The best I've seen so far is a guy up in the Bronx, he does a lot of custom bikes, I'll post up his info when I remember it.
