Default HyperMotard Stolen Brooklyn

Hello,

Even though I do not have a monster I am always lurking around reading as I simply love ducati's. I got my bike stolen today within 3 hours of it being parked in front of my house in Bklyn Grand Ave bet Gates and Putnam. A witness saw it being loaded in a mini van about a hour before I noticed a car was parked where my bike was.
So, if anyone is in this area be careful. Also anyone own a dark 620 in the area as I saw one go by as I was filling out the police report. If anyone see a hypermotard S with pazzo levers, full termi exhaust, matte black speedy moto pressure plate and clutch cover, and the dp racing seat do me a favor and beat the driver as that is my bike !!!!
Watch out everyone as I thought it would NEVER happen to me.

Sorry to hear about the bike. Was it chained to anything?

No, I did not have it chained as I was not sure if I was going back to the city or not. I have lived on this block for over 10 years and just felt comfortable with it being unlocked for a couple of hours.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear this. I'll keep an eye out in Manhattan, but let us know any developments.

Sorry to hear about your bike... that really sucks!! What I wanna know is... I can understand bike thieves coming out of hibernation and I understand most bikes being stolen (particularly Japanese bikes), but what I can't understand is Ducatis being stolen. Correct me if I'm wrong but w/o the red key or code card the bike is of no use correct? Perhaps the thieves don't know that.

I think most bikes get stripped down for parts, it's easier to unload that way and yields higher profits.
