I've already got my lighting situation figured out... I just hope that if it's super cold like on the previous years, the temps won't sap my batteries.

Re: Who's down?
Well, I've figured out how to keep everything warm - I just need to buy the stuff.
I also need to spend some time on the lighting / navigating issue. I think spending some time studying detailed maps of West Chester and Rockland counties will help a ton, too!!
Good thing I have some free time these next couple of weeks!!
I'm going to go out tomorrow night as well to do a different test for the cold weather gear!

hint: the run does not go through Rockland county, it is always on the east side of the Hudson River
btw, a new sign-up location has NOT been determined as of last nite's club meeting ...

My lighting situation...
A very powerful led light made for bicycles, figured I could mount it on my fairing stays. If that doesn't work out I'm going to use a battery operated led reading light. I can strap that onto my radar detector, not that I'll the RD, but I never ride w/o it.
As for warmth... my Warm-N-Safe electric liner and gloves will be here on Monday ;D. Although... I rode out to Montauk this morning (don't ask) and I only wore my leather jacket and a lightweight windproof shell underneath, along with a pair of summer gauntlets that I'm trying to break in (kangaroo!!) ... I was fine pretty much the whole ride but it did get pretty chilly around Riverhead, nothing that a quick shot of coffee couldn't fix. Prolly doing the same ride next Sunday (although I really don't want to) but it'll give me a chance to test out the electrics.

Re: Who's down?
so Dickk Roberts, the organizer of the Midnite Run, told me tonite that he was able to keep the current sign-in location, which is at Yonkers Nathan's lot. HOWEVER, unlike previous years, the sign-in will be outdoors in the lot since Nathans will be closed during that time !! ... Riders used to sign-in INDOORS in the restaurant and drank hot beverage and warmed up before the ride.
