Official gun thread
Mods please do with this as you please. I'm waiting on my 2012 Flatblack/red 796 to come in so in the meantime I figured I see who else here enjoys shooting as a hobby.
I figure we can use this thread to post gun pictures, videos, questions, and chit chat. Pretty much every forum I'm on has one stickied.

So pretty much all my spare income goes to new weaponry. I'm lucky enough to live in a state that hasnt totally stripped my rights.
I just like the mechanics behind firearms, the engineering, the craftsmanship, and of course how much fun you can have with your clothes on. lol
I'm going to just steer my gun addiction over to my new Ducati, lol I could have a sweet bike with all the damn money I've invested in guns. lol.
Post your toys!

Winter project...
A buddy of mine is an extremely talented ME with a machinist certification... He used to work for Buell before they were shut down. Since that time he has grown bored of strapping engines to things and decided to build this project...

I'm going to insert a moderator note here. This thread is fine in itself, as long as it stays on topic. On the other boards, this sort of thing survives by staying about the guns themselves, and the politics of the subject are discussed elsewhere. Since politics has been declared off-limits for this board in general, there will be none of that here (for or against).
If you are interested in guns, discuss them here. If you aren't, skip this thread and move on. I will remove attempts to foul the waters.

Thanks for the support! Yeah, politics need not apply. This is for gun pics/discussion.

That's some sweet stuff there, not to mention quite a few bucks spent on NFA "taxes".
I've been in CA, which does not recognize NFA permits, so I haven't gotten into that yet. Hopefully I'm moving to NH in the next year, and can then legally buy some cooler toys.
I do have a pretty decent collection, but I also have a policy of not posting them online. I prefer to call it "prudence" rather than "paranoia". ;D

Yeah i used to think like that. But with a gated and guarded community, cameras, a monitored alarm, a 80lb german shepard, and a 800lb safe Id say im pretty good. O and a good friend lives next door and hes on the local SWAT team and my other neighbor moved here from columbia 5 years ago where he used to train military. I'd say its just easier to hit a gunshop than my house.8)
